It was recently reported that Toyota Motor Corp’s first venture capital fund has started to invest in AI startups in order to help refine everyday processes with better supply-chain management and add robotics to the factory floor.
Indeed, Toyota AI Ventures fund has invested in 36 early-stage startups, such as self-driving car software firm Nauto, factory video analytics company Drishti, and air mobility firm Joby Aviation, to add artificial intelligence to its cars as the industry is turning towards self-driving cars.
Hence, this investment wants to lead Toyota to the top of the market in the industry by incorporating the latest technology available.
