NTT to be growing its global datacenter footprint by 20%

It was recently announced that NTT has committed to growing the size of its global data center footprint by 20% in the next few years.

Indeed, the company aims to increase its available IT load in EMEA by over 40% in the next two years as it sets to build 13 new datacentre buildings across nine new markets and delivery an added 115MW of IT load across 50,000m2. It is also planning on bringing online new capacity across the Asia-Pacific region and some data center operations within India so as to bring the total number of hyperscale campuses it operates in the country to five over the next 18 months.

Moreover, the company is looking to build a large capacity submarine cable to connect Singapore, Malaysia, and India to its network, by mid-2023. Hence, in the next 18 months, NTT hopes to increase data center operations by 20% to a total of over 600,000m2 of floor space in over 20 countries and regions.
