It was recently reported that the pandemic accelerated significantly the adoption of automation in Wales.
Indeed, many manufacturing businesses stated that they were implementing robotics two or three years faster than expected. This new development is then helping companies staying competitive and realizing all the benefits of automation.
The government also declared that it was pushing businesses to adapt to the times and become more efficient and productive. It is possible that in the next few years, most of the processes in manufacturing will be automated.
Moreover, it was said that these automated systems would not replace or impact workers’ jobs, but on the contrary, would lead to new ventures and opportunities for the workers such as developing new skills and focusing on important tasks.
Following the lockdowns, many companies had had to turn to automation in order to pull through, hence it became clear that machines were now the way to go.
