A study by Tempo found out that leaders should use automation to eliminate mundane tasks that waste developers’ time, such as tasks that don’t deliver value, as well as stop using legacy processes that are not reflective of today’s tech landscape.
Besides, software development managers are looking to up-level capacity with automation and find the right talent to complete necessary tasks. They also need to focus on having a clear view of how time and effort are being invested.

Indeed, 34% of software developers still track time manually with spreadsheets, with the remaining two-thirds using internally developed tools or time tracking software they have purchased.
