Polestar launched software update to boost its EV’s horsepower

The Automotive company Polestar has recently launched a new over-the-air update to boost its EV horsepower.

Indeed, the software update should raise the EV’s horsepower to 469 and 502 lb. ft of torque. The company pointed out that its biggest acceleration boost will be found in the mid-range, with the acceleration from 50 to 75 MPH will now only take 2.2 seconds.

Yet, the update isn’t free and costs around €1,000. It’s available in the Polestar Extras store for eligible cars in the UK, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Denmark, Germany and Austria.

The company is planning to make the update available in the US and Canada in the spring.
