New scholarship to promote diversity in tech launched in Oxford

A scholarship aiming to improve diversity in the tech sector in Oxford has recently been launched.

This initiative was taken by Active Learning and the South Central Institute of Technology and will be open to students from various backgrounds, especially BAME, disabled, and women. The scholarship will be helping applicants cover 100% of college tuition fees for level 4 HNC Digital Technologies programmes at the City of Oxford College.

By launching this, the region hopes to promote more diversity and equality in the technology sector. It is hoping to attract more students from underrepresented groups to work in tech and have a career in software development.

Applications are open until Friday, July 8 for a September 2022 entry.
