Daryl has over 25 years of experience in testing, predominantly in Financial Services, covering Banking, Insurance, and Investment Management from a software quality perspective, with a proven track record of test leadership and cost reduction. For the past 8 years, Daryl has built, grown, and now operates KPMG’s award-winning Quality Engineering and Testing Services practice.
He will be presenting: “You cannot expect success if you plan for failure” by sharing some tips and tricks that can turn around your own perception, to improve product quality and your own sense of self-worth!
Bianca Garcez
Chief of Staff, Strategic Projects Lead & programme Manager @ ESADE Business School
Bianca worked in big Consulting/Financial Services, heavily male-dominated environments. Both companies had their policies perfectly well written, HR and channels for complaints, D&I mandatory training, and constantly figuring out ‘best places to work’ lists, but the reality was very different from the formal layout.
She will be presenting: “Policy vs reality” which will highlight how companies with perfectly well-designed policies and training still fall for common D&I pitfalls and may actually have extremely non-inclusive environments.

Tanvi has nearly two decades of experience in IT predominantly in Software Test Automation, Exploratory & Testing. She is experienced in Test team building & automation transformation in companies such as Telegraph Media, Lloyds Banking & Yobota. She coached the implementation of best practices in test automation & continuous delivery with early feedback in terms of performance, UI function & security testing (Shift-Left).
She will be presenting: “Salesforce Test Automation with pyrestBDD”.
Simon Dawson
Head of Engineering @ Atom Bank
Simon is an Experienced Technology Architect with 20+ years of experience and who is currently working with Atom Bank as Head of Engineering. He is passionate about DevOps, Cloud, and Agile. He is known for preparing high-level designs for client sign-off and detailed designs to use in building out new architectures to support client business requirements.
He will be presenting: “Banking in the Cloud and the Role of Digital Assurance” which will tackle what it takes to get cloud migration right the first time, what does Digital Complexity look like while building and migrating the bank, and how to accelerate Time-to-Market in a comprehensive Digital Transformation program?
Maitha Al Shimmari
President- Women in Engineering @ University of Oxford
Maitha is a DPhil in Engineering Science candidate at the University of Oxford, who is affiliated with the Oxford e-Research Center (OeRC). She is the President of the Oxford Women in Engineering Network (WiE), and a member of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. She has accumulated over ten years of industrial experience working on sensitive projects as a technical subject matter expert, advisor, and delegate in the fields of engineering, construction, nuclear energy, management, artificial intelligence, government, and diplomacy.
She will be presenting: “Inclusion Policies.”
