Ford has recently announced that it would be investingĀ $11.4bn in electric vehicle (EV) production in the US.
Indeed, the company stated that it was aiming to build zero-emission cars and pickups at scales for American users. The production will happen in its factories in Tennessee and Kentucky, thus creating around 11,000 jobs. By doing so, Ford hopes that half of its cars will be zero-emission by 2030.
The company said that this investment represented their biggest one ever and it is made to build a better future for America by delivering breakthrough electric vehicles for the many.Ā Hence, the Tennessee factory will build next-generation electric pickup trucks and batteries from 2025 and the one in Kentucky will provide a new line-up of Ford and Lincoln EVs.
