It was recently announced that McKinsey & Company will be leading the digitization of services and automation for the UK government.
Indeed, the company has won a £3 million contract to build business cases through eight weeks. It will then be focused on establishing a government data exchange and developing a hosting strategy, migrating systems to a government hybrid cloud as well as tackling expensive legacy tech risk.
The company started to work on the project as the government was seeking expert consultancy support to design the cross-departmental approach in order to tackle core digital, data and technology priorities, developing cross-government business cases and work plans.
Moreover, McKinsey is set to develop compelling business cases for investment for the Government Digital Services (GDS) and Central Digital and Data Office (CDDO). The aim is to shape and drive the digital and tech agenda of the government.
