It was recently reported that Panasonic has been the victim of a cyberattack and data breach earlier this month.
Indeed, the company revealed that the attack was discovered on November 11, during which its network was accessed illegally. The event was immediately reported to the authorities and the company put into place security measures to prevent further access to the network.
Moreover, Panasonic is also working with a specialist from a third-party organization so as to investigate the data breach and determine if has involved customers’ personal information and sensitive information related to social infrastructure.
It was then found out that the attacked servers stored information about Panasonic business partners and the company’s technology. Thus, the company signed a pact with McAfee in order to create a vehicle security operations center that would be focusing on cyberattacks.
