It was recently reported that the UK Cyber Security Council started to accept applications from organizations for memberships.
Indeed, it was stated that any organization that wants to promote, support, and develop the cybersecurity profession is encouraged to apply. Members of the organizations can nominate representatives with the relevant skills and experience to be part of the Council’s committees. The committee will then aim to deliver the objectives around developing the profession.
Through this, businesses that are interested in cyber security will have the opportunity to better influence the direction and development of the issues around the topic such as professional standards, qualifications, careers, ethics, and diversity. The Council will aim to get various views from the different members of the committee and thus, to put some engagement mechanisms in place.
